Ingredients of Chesapeake Crab Cakes
- You need 1 lb of Lump Crab Meat.
- Prepare 3 tbsp of Old Bay Seasoning.
- You need 2 of Eggs.
- You need 1 tbsp of Lemon Juice.
- It's 1 tsp of Dry Mustard.
- Prepare 1 cup of diced onion.
- Prepare 3 cup of Crushed Ritz Crackers.
- Prepare 1 of Vegtable Oil.
Chesapeake Crab Cakes instructions
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl.
- Saute onions in 1tsp of butter until translucent.
- Crush approx a sleeve of Ritz crackers w/ a mallet.
- Add sauted onions and crackers to the crabmeat mixture and mix by hand.
- To make perfect patties press mixed crabmeat into a 1/4 measuring cup.
- Should make about 13 patties and refrigerate for 15 min.
- Preheat vegatable oil until 350°F.
- Cook patties for about 2 min each side or deep fry until golden brown.
